new laser diodes for holography
been testing David red diode and found that if i mount it on a te cooler to keep it cold, I can get 40+mw out of it and still get good contrast in fringes, and now my question i was comparing the paper work on this diode to the new 488nm diodes that say they are single mode, just like the red at a h...

Re: conference on zoom
i think the best would be Google's Meet there is no time limit, and lots of tools for the presenter :D :D so probably call "Holographyforum-meet2020", have to check tho on celebrate recovery we use zoom and only the one presenting the meeting need the pro zoom our meeting go for about 1 ho...

Re: Geola question
Thanks Dinesh you could also do this by measuring the intensity of the light going through and comparing it to the light coming in right? My hene is 18mw and my 640 diode is 25mw spread to about 5x7 at the plate film is a 4x4 .. this setup works fine with the hene & and the 532nm. ... a nice eve...

Re: Geola question
according to the transmission of the polymer in 640nm is much less transmission than a hene, so that the problem with that 640nm it needs more light to go through the dye for a reflection, it would be ok for a transmission but a bit low for a reflection. if this is the same stuff as liti they probab...

Re: Geola question
Has anyone test this with the 640nm laser diode? What seem to be happening is the dye they use is for 632nm hene laser, and it blocks most of the 640nm light, so I thinking the 640nm is not good for geola polymer any ideas? It works find with a hene.any ideas would help

Re: conference on zoom
I do think its a very good idea, to stir hope, and encouragement in the field of holography hobbyist or pro ... to fan if it where the spark of creativity ... in a depressing time for all of us ..... let us hold our torches high and share our gifts and impart hope
