Re: Server performance issues
Thank you for all your work! The idea of seeing the monopolist (= FB) guarding all things holographic sends shivers down my spine. So how can we help? What about doing some fundraising? At some point I should probably post periodic backups to archive.org (aka "The Way-Back Machine"). That ...

Re: Possible new available green sensitive AgX plates
Sounds interesting, thanks. As for AgX emulsion making I can still point to https://d-i-yscience.blogspot.com/2016/04/holograms-on-wine-glasses-and-glass.html And of course, there is Jon Hilty's beautiful homepage on Lippmann photography (jonhilty.com/lippmannhome). There is an excellent section on ...

Interesting! And where can those lasers be purchased at? Are there any items at 405nm?

Re: Holographic sensor based on Jeff Blyth's Diffusion method
I wondered if this kind of spectrometer (www.ebay.com/itm/316481437349) would be sufficiently accurate...
Spectral resolutions looks good and the price seems to be OK.

Here is a very interesting link to an open access paper: Yihan Zhang, Maria Paula Palacios, Jeff Blyth, Yubing Hu, and Ali K. Yetisen, Holographic sensor for the rapid detection of milk adulteration (https://opg.optica.org/ao/fulltext.cfm?uri=ao-64-20-5852&id=574052) It is based on Jeff Blyth's ...

Re: Steve Benton achromat papers?
Does anyone have copies they can share of these two elusive papers by Steve Benton? S.A. Benton, "Achromatic Images from White-Light Transmission Holograms," J. Opt. Soc. Am. 68, 1441A (November 1978). S.A. Benton, "Achromatic Holographic Stereograms," J. Opt. Soc. Amer., Vol. 7...

Re: Photo Polymer Questions
Does anyone use water to apply the film to the glass? Yes, you can do that. In contrast to hydrocarbon solvents etc. water will not interfere with the photopolymer layer. One advantage of water is that dust becomes less of an issue. The refractive index of water is a bit too low though. It is proba...
