Sergey Zharkiy graduated from the Moscow State University, Faculty of Physics with a MS (Master of Science) in Physics in 1999. He studied lasers and holography at the International Laser Center of Moscow State University. He took part in scientific conferences with his articles on holography and laser applications.

Sergey Zharkiy is an author and developer of Holography.Ru web site. He wrote and translated many articles for this web site. Sergey also designed and made several art holograms for gallery of Russian Holographic Studios.

Sergey Zharkiy took part in development of compact holographic kit for amateur holographers. He is also author and director of educational film (DVD) on holography.
